19th August 2010 ~ Perlis

As I'm typing this post rite now, I am peering over Eagle Park Resort to book the room online...And guess what? My other half is coming with me..As he dont want to let me go to Kangar all by myself, he decided to come along. Eagle Park Resort so called Bukit Ayer Jungle Park Resort, claimed to be the most greenest resort in Perlis, wanna see how green they are..Heheheh..
I will be there for only 2 days as my other half need to work and he almost run out of Annual Leave..As we already agreed to have a peace and tranquil vacation, and my company will support all the expenses..Heheheh, I go to Perlis for my work la..Handover one of our branch there to landlord.. Simple kan? Serah kunci jer...

Then I found out that Eagle Park Resort ni dekat ngan few places..Contohnya:

Gua Kelam

Situated within Kaki Bukit town, the highlight of this park is Gua Kelam, a 370-metre limestone cave which is illed with interesting stalactite and stalagmite formations. This well-lit cave is believed to have been hollowed out from a limestone massif by an underground stream over many eons. Located nearby is Gua Kelam II which is suitable for more experienced cavers.

Bukit Ayer Waterfall

The Bukit Ayer Recreational Park is located next to our resort. Visitors can experience the sights and sounds of a tropical rainforest or bathe in cool streams that meander through the forest.

Nature Walks

All land activities take place within our private reserve, while river activities occur on the nearby rivers. As an ecolodge, we are especially careful to run all expeditions with conservation of the environment in mind. Groups are small usually made up of 4-6 persons and with a maximum of 8 people. This way our guide can adapt to the interests of the group and their abilities and preserve plant and animal life by keeping disturbance to a minimum.

Jungle Trekking

Venture into the lush green vegetation of the primary rainforest and let its beauty envelop you. All your senses will be rewarded as you surround yourself with the sights, sounds and smell of the rainforest. Under the expert direction of our guides, you will see the rainforest through different eyes as you are introduced to this ecosystem and the plants and animals that inhabit it.

Snake Farm

Located not far from our resort, it is one of only two snake sanctuaries in Malaysia (the other in Langkawi), the Perlis snake farm houses an amazing array of snakes and other reptiles. There are enclosed exhibits and garden enclosures.
Visitors can catch the amazing King Cobra resting in their cages or take photographs with tame snakes. Who knows that we can learn from them. Love nature, love animals.

Grape Farm

Have you ever been to the Grape Farm ? If NO, the this is a good opportunity to learn about how we grow grapes, yes GRAPES, in Malaysia.

If YES, then you will be surprise to see that Grapes can also be grown in the tropical country and yes, they really taste as good as the one grown in colder counntries.

Herb Garden

The Herb Gardens is located just next to our resort. A large variety of herbs, spices and traditional plants, numbering over a 1000 species, are grown here. Visitors can see them, learn about their medical application and watch how they are cultivated in this park.

But most of the activities above need me to give my 100% energy. Dahla time puasa, adeh..xleh nak mandi sungai, pnjat bukit tu sume...tapi, I heard Kangar got finest Bazar Ramadhan, and lots of juadah berbuka also..I just hope my handover so called little vacation will be full with tranquility...

Cant wait until next week...
